What God says about Waiting for a Husband?

What does God say about waiting for a husband? This is an excellent question to consider. Because waiting is one of the most difficult things in this world.

The feeling of not knowing when your expectations will be met is always hard when all you do is wait.

But waiting is part of life. At some point in our life, we have to wait for something. If God wants you to focus on something before you get married, He will not bring your Husband to you.

No matter how worried you are, it won’t move God.

You can cut the waiting time by panicking and settling down with a husband that’s not the plan of God for you.

Or you can wait for God’s timing to get the best from God.

The following are the ways God wants you to wait for a Husband.

1. Have the attitude of a virtuous woman!

One of the most beautiful love stories reported in the Bible is that of Rebeca. Rebeca had the attitude of a virtuous woman of God.

She was busy when she was found by Isaac’s servant and still proved to be a servant when she was served water.

Her attitude made the servant understand that she was the woman that God had for Isaac.

At no time do we see Rebeca offering herself. But rather waiting, even without knowing that she would be found. (Genesis, ch. 24)

2. Trust God with all your heart

Many women are desperate to see time go by, which leads them to relativize their criteria concerning their future spouse. They try to resolve the situation on their own.

Do you know why it took Sarah and Abraham so many years to have the son of the promise? Because they decided to give a “little way” so that things could happen soon.

Thus, Ismael was born, the son of a servant, which delayed the promise of the couple’s legitimate son, Isaac. (Exodus 16: 1-15).

Consequently, problems of jealousy arose between Sarah and the servant Agar, as well, as the wars caused by the nation generated by Ishmael, always against the children of the promise.

None of this would have happened if Abraham and Sarah had trusted and waited for the right time to fulfill the promise.

How many times have you tried to give your love life solutions? How many times did it work?

God does not need the strength of your arm to act in your sentimental life. He just needs you to trust and rest on Him.

3. Don’t delay your promise. Do not take initiative. Be a wise woman

There are Christian women who are with their promise about to be fulfilled, but they want to give a little push. By doing so, they are, unfortunately, increasing their waiting time.

As a Woman, never feed love to a man who never approached you to be your friend. Make no mistake, the relationship begins, first of all, with a healthy friendship.

4. Princesses don’t look; they are found

If you admire a man, first assess whether he is really a man of God, grounded in the Word and prayer.

Observe his behavior towards people, especially women. Beware of men who are “shooting at all sides” thereby making no commitment to any.

If you don’t have a friendship with the person you admire, pray that God will allow you to get closer.

The ideal is that the initiative of friendship comes from man. If he gets close, be a friend, but don’t show feelings without him showing interest first.

Your role, woman of God, is just to wait, pray, and be open to friendships. Wait until he takes the initiative to invite you to PRAY for the relationship.

If the friendship grows, be careful not to fall into sexual temptation. Because premarital sex has already destroyed many women’s emotional lives out there. Don’t give in.

Do not forget that there is no bad luck but a serious commitment to a happy future marriage in the Kingdom of God.

5. Pray For Your Future Husband

This is one of the best things you can do while waiting for a Husband. Praying for your Future Husband is so crucial because prayer is the master key.

Pray for everything as the Bible says, including your future Husband.

Pray that God should give you a man after His own heart.

10 Bible verses that will help you keep the right perspective while waiting for a Husband

  1. “An unmarried woman or virgin is concerned about the Lord’s affairs: Her aim is to be devoted to the Lord in both body and spirit.” 1 Corinthians 7:34

This verse reminds us that during this time, we do have certain obligations and responsibilities. It is so important to give back to the Lord, to seek to please Him always.

Remember that marriage is not the primary reason for your presence on Earth. But rather a blessing among many others that God has in store for you.

  1. “The blessing of the Lord makes one rich, and He adds no sorrow with it.” Proverbs 10:22:

God is so good. There is no sorrow in the blessings that He gives His children.

This does not mean that our lives will be devoid of trials or challenges, but rather that His blessing is not a half blessing, a mediocre response that does not glorify Him. He has a bespoke and awe-inspiring blessing in store for you.

  1. “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.” Matthew 6:33

No need to shake or worry. As you seek His Kingdom, you can be sure that He takes care of you and all that concerns you in all areas.

Therefore, your priority should be to spend quality time with Him and get to know Him more. It will also strengthen your spiritual foundation and give you hope while waiting for a husband.

  1. “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.” Jeremiah 29:11

God knows what He has in plan for your life. Knowing this keeps you at peace and the assurance that your life is not doomed.

Marriage is not something unattainable. You can be fully fulfilled in this season of your life. His plan for you is good, pleasant, and perfect. It keeps you in complete confidence for your future.

  1. “Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He shall give you the desires of your heart.” Psalm 37: 4

If you interpret this verse in the wrong way, you can think that God will always give you what you want. But that is pure selfishness, not true love.

God searches our hearts. When you truly delight in the Lord, you will not only be at peace but also attentive to His desires for you.

  1. “And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart” Galatians 6: 9

Sometimes time passes, and despite serving the Lord fervently, nothing changes. You end up wondering why you’re doing all this, if it’s worth it, and if one day you’ll see your desire to marry manifest.

Understand that marriage is not a reward for your good and loyal service in the Lord. Also, know that God has not forgotten you.

Whatever good you sow in this season of your life, you will reap bountifully in your future marriage if you persevere. Isn’t that a wonderful encouragement?

  1. “You shall no longer be termed Forsaken, Nor shall your land anymore be termed Desolate;

But you shall be called Hephzibah, and your land Beulah; For the Lord delights in you, And your land shall be married.” Isaiah 62: 4

What a promise! Wherever you see drought and desolation in your life, God promises you restoration. He gives you a new name, and above all, He promises to fill you fully.

This verse helps you maintain a divine perspective irrespective of what you are passing through.

  1. “The Lord has appeared of old to me, saying: “Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love; Therefore with loving-kindness, I have drawn you.” Jeremiah 31: 3

As singles, God constantly reassures us of His love and provision for us because He knows our fears, our insecurities, our daily challenges.

This promise helps you find refuge in His Word and secures you in His love.

  1. “For the mountains shall depart and the hills be removed, But My kindness shall not depart from you, nor shall my covenant of peace be removed.” Isaiah 54:10

Declares the Lord, tenderly to you. “No matter what happens, His love does not change! Because of his covenant, we can be confident that God does what He says and is there for us, good times and bad.

This is the best time to discover God’s unconditional love and develop good emotions.

  1. “He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also, He has put eternity in their hearts, except that no one can find out the work that God does from beginning to end.” Ecclesiastes 3:11: “

God makes everything beautiful in its time. “What can I say? God’s time is perfect, and when things happen in His time, it is done smoothly and healthily, without you having to compromise, so that all can recognize and say with certainty that it comes from Him.

This gives you fullness and confidence that goes far beyond the possible frustration that waiting can generate.

In conclusion

I believe that God expects from us an attitude like that of Rebekah while waiting for a husband. She was so distracted, serving that she was surprised by Isaac’s marriage proposal.

May we be women who hope in God in such a way that when the right person arrives, we will be surprised!!!

Waiting is not just about praying every day for God to bless you with a man. Waiting is a daily intentional movement of action to become a stronger woman in God.

The stronger you are single, the stronger your marriage will be.
