13 Proven Ways To know God Loves You

God loves you! I know that sounds cliché, but He sure does. If you’ve ever wondered how; then this article is for you.

I know sometimes we get to a point in our lives when we feel like questioning His love for us. I’ve been there, like everyone else; where everything just doesn’t add up.

You see, God displays love for us in many ways and since the first proof of love is a heart of giving, the first and most important way God showed us love was by giving his Son, Jesus.

John 3:16 says: “For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

God did this to show us how much he loves us, even while we were still sinners.

He made it clear that it wasn’t because of what you did or refused to do; He loves you unconditionally.

Below are 13 ways to know God loves you:

1. He offers you new life

When God sent Jesus to die for us, he offered us salvation, eternal life and a chance at a new life. He didn’t just wash away our sins, he gave us a chance at a new life devoid of old encumbrances.

2 Corinthians 5:17, says “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!”

Having a new life is one of the best gifts that God could give us, especially considering the kind of past we’ve had. This shows how much God loves you.

2. He offers an opportunity for fellowship.

God loves us so much that He makes himself always available to us to talk to him and share whatever fears, worries, shortcomings or just stories with him.

The thing is, no matter what you and I have done, God will never give up on us. He longs to be in constant touch with us, in constant fellowship with those whom he loves.

It is now up to us to make ourselves available to him, to open up to him and know that we can tell him anything.

There is nothing that we cannot share with God. John 1:18, says, ‘No one has ever seen God, but the one and only Son, who is himself God and is in closest relationship with the Father, has made him known’.

He is the friend that sticks closer than a brother.

3. God loves you because he has forgiven your sins.

When it comes to our sins, God has a short-term memory.

1 John 1:9 says, “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” Hebrews 8:12: ”

For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.”

Relationship experts tell us that one of the proofs of love is forgiveness. How do you say you love someone and can’t forgive his/her wrongs?

God goes the extra mile of blowing our minds by blotting out all knowledge of our sins from his memory to show how much he loves us and no matter how much we sin, God would always forgive us.

4. He Bears your Troubles

1 Peter 5:7 says: “Casting all your care upon him; for he cares for you. God encourages us to cast all our cares on him because he cares for us.

How better to show his love for us than to take our troubles upon him. Jesus said: Come unto me all ye that labor and are heavy-laden and I will give you rest.

God wants us to trust in his love for us and give our worries to him. Philippians 4:6 says: “Be careful, for nothing…” because God is ready to take it all on Him just to show you how much He loves you.

5. The gift of Grace

Grace is God’s way of telling us that we don’t have to do anything to be in right standing with him. It’s him offering a hand to help us through life.

Grace is God’s most amazing gift that shows us how much he loves us and values us.

Grace is the undeserving favor. It is God blessing us because of his love, because of the blood of Jesus and not because we have done anything to deserve it.

Ephesians 2:8-9 says: ‘For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast’.

God took the step by holding out his hand to us, all we have to do is reach for it and enjoy his love.

6. Personal Relationship

There is nothing that we cannot share with God. He can be our most intimate friend with whom we can share anything.

We can go to Him with our problems, our hurts, pain, fears, and shortcomings.

And if we go to him in true repentance and a changed heart, nothing will separate us from his love.

John 1:18, says, ‘No one has ever seen God, but the one and only Son, who is himself God and is in closest relationship with the Father, has made him known‘.

7. He makes you happy

Proverbs 23:18 says: “For surely there is an end and your expectation shall not be cut off.” The truth is that sometimes it might appear that the circumstances around us are pointing to the fact that God doesn’t care about our happiness.

However, if we are patient enough to stick with God, we would realize that he is committed to our wellbeing just because he loves us and that no matter what we see around us, all things are working together for our good.

8. He protects you

Psalms 84:11 says: “The Lord God is a sword and a shield…” God loves us by not just fighting for us, but protecting us from whatever evil may be coming our way.

When we learn to focus on God’s love for us, we would not live in perpetual fear of the enemy.

Psalms 91: 1-4 says: “He that dwells in the secret place of the Most High, God shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

And I will say of the Lord, he is my refuge and my fortress, my God’ in him will I trust.

Surely, he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler and from the noisome pestilence, He shall cover thee with his feathers, underneath his wings shall thou trust; his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.”

9. He heals you

Healing is a part of God’s gift of salvation to us. Because of God’s love for us, he doesn’t want to see us in pain and hurt.

He is always ready to heal our minds and bodies. Luke 9:11 says, ‘But the crowds learned about it and followed him.

He welcomed them and spoke to them about the kingdom of God, and healed those who needed healing’.
Healing was a part of Jesus’ ministry and God often demonstrates his love for us by extending a hand of healing to us through his word.

10. He gives you his Spirit

John 14: 26-27 says: “But the Comforter, which is the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you; not as the world giveth…”

God’s Spirit in us is evidence of how much He loves us. He gave us his Spirit as proof of His love for us. His Spirit is to guide us and teach us alright.

When we get acquainted with the Spirit, life becomes easier for us because we have the right teacher.

11. He fights for you.

Romans 8: 31 says: “What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?” When we pass through valleys and difficult times, we can rest assured knowing that God is working on it for us.

He diverts so many fiery darts of the enemy towards us because of his overwhelming love for us.

So, the best thing to do is to remember that God always has a handle on whatever challenges we seem to be facing in our lives.

12. He never gives up on you.

2 Timothy 2: 13 says “If we are unfaithful, he remains faithful, for he cannot deny who he is.” There are many times we deny God’s love, either through our actions or through our words.

But God remains faithful to us because he loves us.

No matter how many times we mess up, God keeps working on us and waiting for us because he cannot deny himself.
There’s no need to feel condemned when we sin, thinking that God is disappointed in us, no, instead he is waiting with outstretched hands to welcome you back.

13. He provides for you.

We might think this is not so important but how would you feel if you had a spouse who claimed to love you but never attended to your needs? God isn’t like that.

He is one who takes care of his own. Matthew 6: 31-32 says: “Therefore take no thought, saying, what shall we eat? Or, what shall we drink? Or wherewithal shall we be clothed?

(For after all these things do the Gentiles seek) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. ”

God knows our needs and he is set to provide them. However, it is important that we don’t look for ‘things’ first and neglect God.

He should always be our first priority and every other thing would be added.

In Kenneth Hagin’s book: “Love, the way to victory”, we see God as love himself. Without God, true, genuine love doesn’t exist because love is everything God is.

God Loves you my friend and so do I.
