Millions battle traffic congestion every day to make the stressful and uncomfortable journey to their place of work or study.

Millions of people in the world pay for expensive drugs to ease their distress. But, as we will see, God gives us, absolutely free, a series of strategies that help us deal with the frustrations of life and overcome anxiety.

  1. Recognize that you are Passing through this World.

“If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.” 1 Corinthians 15:19

I want to be as straightforward as possible in this regard. It may sound harsh, but the reality is that we are going to die. It is an indisputable fact. The safest thing in life is death.

Let’s think about the following: Those people in a hospital with a terminal illness and having their days numbered; constantly regret that they have attached too much importance to everyday problems.

It is unwise to be too inquisitive about issues irrespective of how important such things may be in our lives. It is detrimental to our success to be over desperate about issues to the level of compromising our health and safety.

They wish they had a new opportunity to live more intensely, worrying less, and playing down minor daily difficulties.

You must express gratitude for your good health and life, but keep in mind that you pass through this land.

Living your existence with fullness, freedom, joy, enthusiasm, and peace is the goal to follow. Forget the complaints, guilt, negativism, resentment, and worry trying to dim the light of your life.

Avoid self-violence. It is violence against oneself to always dwell on your mistakes and pitfalls. Never compromise your happiness for unending daily worries.

  1. Remind God of His Promises.

The Bible is a true mine of divine promises for everyone. It is enough to go in prayer before the throne of grace in Heaven to remember those promises.

In the Bible, we find hundreds of divine promises. God’s desire is that we recognize them, accept them, and remember them! He has given us “very great and precious promises”!

Jesus reminded us that we must choose the spiritual over the material. It also clearly showed how much God loves us and that He can easily meet all of our physical needs.

But to receive this blessing, we must first seek the Kingdom of God, and then our material needs will be met. (Matthew 6:33).

  1. Build great Character in the Face of Difficulties.

Who among you, by worrying, can add a cubit to the length of your life? ( Mt 6, 27 )

Some people collapse in the face of problems. They feel anxiety, depression, stress, and worry about adverse life circumstances. Be bold, confront difficulties with audacity and courage. There is light at the end of the tunnel.

The best advice in this regard is to have a great attitude that forges your character: decisiveness, courage, audacity, courage, optimism, and resilience.

You must consider problems as challenges that allow you to move forward, grow, strengthen and empower yourself.

Every challenge is an opportunity for improvement and proof of self-worth. Challenges toughen the stuff you are made of and prepare you for the days ahead.

Move forward without fear and cross the bridges when you reach them. A difficulty will enable you to bring out the best in yourself: your creativity, knowledge, discipline, and perseverance.

People who succeed as leaders in their respective career fields specialize in problem-solving. They anticipate adversity, observe and solve difficulties quickly because they already imagined something like this could happen.

  1. Seek Wise Advice.

The book of Proverbs brings some of the most important and wisest advice that we can receive as Christians. They are advice from God Himself.

Are you willing to seek advice to better cope with your stresses and problems?

Proverbs’ following verse is full of wisdom: “Thoughts fail where counsel is lacking; but they establish themselves with many “counselors (Proverbs 15:22, KJV 1995).

When we read the book of Acts, we see that the early Church in New Testament times was unified as a spiritual family. We need each other, and we need each other’s help.

Seek advice from people of true wisdom, from authentic, faithful, and strong-willed Christians. “The way of the fool is right in his opinion, but he who obeys counsel is wise” (Proverbs 12:15).

Seek God’s counsel by reading the Bible every day and seeking counsel from prudent people who have demonstrated stability and character according to the Bible’s teachings.

  1. Reflect, Meditate, and Practice Daily Prayer.

“Ask, it will be given to you; seek, you will find; knock, we will open it for you. Indeed, whoever asks receives; who seeks finds; whoever knocks, we will open. “(Matthew 7:7-8)

It is normal to reflect on your new ideas, projects, and goals at every point in time.

It is vital in this sense that you take some time alone to meditate on your life, your values, and your vision of the world and things. Reflection on one’s life is essential for a meaningful and fulfilled life.

You must strengthen your spiritual life through prayer, meditation, and reflection, allowing you to find your own identity and renew yourself spiritually. It is a popular spiritual saying that prayer is the master key.

To succeed in life, you need to be spiritually fortified. It is important to pray ceaselessly in order to face challenges resiliently.

Accept that you are only a tiny grain of sand in universal creation and that you need to get closer to God to observe the spiritual dimension of your life. Today is a beautiful day to be anxious for nothing.

  1. Talk To God About Your Concerns.

Sometimes we feel tense because we don’t communicate our problems.

Alone with our difficulties, we think the worries multiply. But there is someone you can talk to about your money problems, relationships, job, or whatever else is bothering you!

God wants you to share your troubles with Him! Let us note this tremendous promise: “Do not be anxious about anything, but let your requests be known before God in all prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving.

God is our companion. He does not fail. Never abandons His children. He is a compassionate God and derives joy comforting His children among which you are one.

And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4: 6-7).

All the money in the world cannot buy happiness, but God wants to freely give you that unique and priceless gift: peace of mind.

Tell God about your anguish in prayer. Suggest solutions to your problems. Thank him for the privilege of coming before his throne of grace.

  1. Everything that happens to you happens for the Better.

“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.” Jeremiah 29:11

A positive attitude to everyday events can give you the mental and spiritual peace of mind you need. An apparent failure contains the seed of tomorrow’s success.

All the situations that happen to you are part of the final purpose of your life. Every failure is an opportunity for improvement. There is never a crown without a cross.

Every challenge begets better opportunities. Embrace every setback with optimism. It is probably an opportunity for improvement.

You must have the absolute confidence that your best years are yet to come, that you have the right to enjoy your life, and put a grain of sand so that the people who are by your side are happier and more motivated.

  1. Remember the Blessings Received.

I will remember the works of the LORD; Surely I will remember Your wonders of old. Psalm 77:11

One thing that helps us keep a positive mind is remembering the many blessings God has given us. Do you have an ideal and perfect life? Do you enjoy all the successes you ever wanted?

Probably not, but if you focus on how much you have received, you may come to see that your life is perfect right now. You will understand that you have to be thankful for the circumstances God is using to instill his same character in your life.

Count your blessings, not your troubles. Learn to appreciate God for what He has done for you. When you remember to appreciate God for His blessings, you qualify for more blessings.

There is an old hymn from the 19th century entitled: Count your blessings. The lyrics say in part: “When the storm rages and fills you with dread, see the blessings that God has given you.

Count everything received from Him, and you will see then that your God is faithful. Think about the blessings you have received and express your gratitude to God with all your heart.

  1. Maintain Dominance over your Thoughts.

“Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.” Philippians 4:8

A very famous phrase from the American singer-songwriter Tyler Joseph says that nothing can kill a man faster than his mind. It is so.

Negative thoughts are the worst negative impact we can have on ourselves. Occupy your mind with positive thoughts. Whatever your mind conceives, you put into action. A positive mindset attracts fortune.

“Because God has not given us a spirit of cowardice, but of power, love and self-control.” 2 Timothy 1: 7

The Bible invites us to have dominion over our thoughts and to think with love, kindness, and faith. In other words, God wants us to have a strong mentality instead of complaining about problems.

  1. Selfless Service.

“As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.” 1 Peter 4:10

Selfless service means putting your gifts and talents at the turn of love. When you can give to another without masks, without the need to please or do something to receive something in return.

The only objective is to see the other shine. Thus you become the love that moves directly to construction. Selflessness is love in action. It is love made visible.

Waking up in the morning, knowing that you are waking up to serve, illuminates the joy of living.

Of course, the awareness of service increases the connection with the divine, since, as each one has their talents and gifts, or a particular way in which love expresses itself through you, it is love that is expressed.

Service makes you a channel of love. Therefore, saying that the service is a way to keep the flame of the connection burning.

Love and happiness go through you to reach the other, no matter what you are doing, whether taking care of the garden, building a house, cooking, taking care of a company or a person.

  1. Keep A Positive Mind.

We all have stressful times in this fast-paced and information-overloaded modern life. What can we do? We must clearly understand that our mental health depends primarily on us. You can decide to keep your spirits positive and calm.

A positive attitude causes a chain reaction of positive thoughts, events, and results. It is a catalyst… a spark that generates extraordinary results”.

Have you decided to stay positive? The Apostle James reinforces this principle and gives us positive advice to overcome tensions and problems.

What should we think when we find ourselves in a tribulation? James responds: “My brethren, count it a great joy when you find yourself in various trials” (James 1:2).

The test can be excruciating, but we look at it with joy. Why and how? Knowing that the test of your faith produces patience. “But be patient for his complete work, so that you may be perfect and complete, without missing anything” (James 1 vs. 3-4).

When we apply these keys in life, they help us to be anxious for nothing.

During the many difficulties and stresses surrounding us, God has given us resources to apply to find comfort and happiness even in times of distress.

Whether it is in accomplishing our to-do list, our relationships, our children, or in all those things that can stress us, we can be anxious for nothing.

Let us reflect on our priorities when we can, try to put the Lord first, and trust Him.
